Happy Halloween

Happy halloween everyone!
These are our spooky Jack-o-lanterns!

Have fun and be safe!

Hernia Surgery and Halloween.

I can't think of a better way to spend Halloween weekend...in bed after hernia surgery!  I had a hernia on my right side.  It had been there for about a year and it needed to be fixed.  I am recovering well and have had a lot of help from Derek and Grandma Kathleen!
I have received a lot of pretty flowers!  Every time I turn a corner I am reminded that I am loved and to get better soon!

From Grandma Kathleen...

Derek's co-workers...

and little Ryann!

Thank you everybody.  I will be back on my feet by Monday morning!

Another tooth gone and snow.

This past weekend Grace finally lost another tooth.  There are several others loose now. I have a feeling we will be asking for a few new teeth come Christmas time.

Oh...the drama the comes with pulling out a tooth!  This one was hanging by a thread and Grace cried for about an hour before I talked her into letting me pull it out.  WOW!  Exhausting.

Vegas III

Almost 2 weeks ago...wow...I am behind on my blog!...

My girlfriends and I went on our annual Vegas birthday getaway.  I know my birthday isn't until the end of November, but we decided to go earlier this year and beat the cold weather and holiday money crunch.
It was a blast!  A weekend full of giggles and girlie time.

We arrived in town early...7:20 a.m. and didn't waste anytime to begin our fun.  We dropped our bags at the hotel and hailed a LIMO to breakfast.  We party like rockstars!

This is Auri and our new friend Cass.  Erica met her through the blogging world.  She keeps up on all us crazy girls and wanted to get in on the fun.  So here we are in Vegas and she is awesome!

Noelle and Toni are cozy in the back...

Erica, Odum and I...yes, we had a drink on the plane.

Cass, Erica, Toni, Auri, Odum, ME, and Noelle.
This is part of the group before our annual breakfast at the Wynn.  Fabulous!
And Jen(in the grey) and Karen(in the pink dress) joined us too.  We had 11 in our group this year.  Leanna and Rose met us later.
Noelle and I realized we have been friends for 27 years!  How is that possible if I am only 29?...Anyway, love her like a sister and so glad we can still spend special time together.  We had so much fun!
Love this picture of Auri sunning at the breakfast table.  Oh baby!

Noelle and Erica gave us all a little gift at breakfast.  Matching jammies!  Noelle got the idea from our first trip to Vegas when her and I started the tradition of gambling in our pjs.  They puff panted and bedazzled them all on their own.  Crafty, those two!  Look out Martha stewart.

I didn't realize this would become my staple outfit for the weekend.  I was sick with a cold and spent
A LOT of time in my pjs.

All the girls headed out to a show, but since I wasn't feeling well Odum and Karen stayed behind to keep me company.  We ordered up a little room service and hung out.

Not too sure what is going on here...all I know is the beer was flowing like wine most of the day and Odum was a little punchy.  Not to mention we woke up at about 5 a.m. to catch our plane....we were a tired.

Karen headed out on the town with the others, so I finally talked Odum into putting on his pajamas so we could go gamble!

Odum and I turned in early (Vegas standard time) and were fresh and ready for the day on Saturday morning.

The others staggered to breakfast in their pajamas...

Noelle

Auri

Erica and Cass

And finally Toni.  They all looked fabulous after a night of dancing and who knows what other kind if fun....it's Vegas...can't tell.

Odum and I decided to burn off a little energy for a walk over to the Bellagio for some gelato.  This is "Lady Chocolate" standing elegantly amoung the cakes and crepes.  She looked divine, but I still went for the gelato.  Delicious!
We checked out the garden decorated beautifully for fall.

Except for this creepy, huge scarecrow!

Look who we ran in to!
Whoopi!!!

Ok, so they are was figures at the wax museum, but it was fun.

Saturday night was dinner, drinks and dancing our little butts off.  I danced a big old blister on my foot.  Oochie!

Erica, ME and Cass at dinner...

Odum and Karen

Odum and Auri...dirty!

Time for some drinks!

Rose and Leanna looking so lovely!

Noelle found a way to cool off and hold her beverage while dancing hands free.  Love it!

I would say for mama's Auri and I are looking pretty hot!

And here we are on Sunday morning...in those pajamas again.  Told you I wore my a a lot!
Sunday Noelle, Cass, Erica, Auri and I went to Serendipity 3 for dinner.  Famous for the frozen hot chocolate...yum!  It is a really cute little place.  Have pictures from last year, but this is where my camera decided to break down.  (we bought a new one last weekend)

If you notice on the menu it says Golden Opulence Sundaes...$1000.00.  This is not a joke...they really have this thing and it has gold and caviar served in some kind of crystal bowl.  Only in Vegas....
I thought this picture was really cute of us being silly after our dinner!
And this is my favorite picture of the weekend.  Miss Auri has the best expressions...what a poser.  I love you girls!

Thanks for all the fun....AGAIN!  Can't wait to do it next year, but we are going to the spa this time so save your money!!!!!  You won't regret it, right Jolie?

Halloween Fun!

Hello!  Busy month!  Haven't been on the computer much.  Very behind on my blog and all of your blogs too!!!  I will catch up with you all very soon.

In the meantime I thought I would post a bunch of pictures from some of our Halloween fun.  They really do speak for themselves and get you in the holiday spirit!

We went to the neighbors for a little pumpkin painting.  Don't worry, there will be carving too.

This is my cute little pumpkin.  Grace's pumpkin is to the right.

This is Ryann's friend.  He lives in the neighbors yard.

Grace decided to take on the monster in the garden.  It wasn't pretty, but she got away!

And if you notice here Frankenstein doesn't really like Ryann playing with his rats.  Yes, the neighbors really go all out for Halloween around here.  Fun!  It is a little spooky.

We had our annual trip to the corn maze.

Our friend Jax came with us this year.  It was fun and he really new his way around the map.

I think he made Grace feel a little safer too.  Hehe...

Ryann was scared.  As it got darker outside she stayed closer and closer until finally I ended up carrying her through...

#8 of 10.  Almost to the end.

Grace was enjoying spooking us around each corner.  She likes to scare, but not be scared.

Silly kids...don't eat the corn!

Derek was worried we would never find the end and have to spend the night out there.  Yikes!  It was cold, but we made it!

And the parties begin...we attended our first halloween bash at Ryann's gym last Saturday.

The Zombie is Grace's friend Jonna.  Grace is a vampire princess and I am sure you can guess Ryann's costume.

Cinderella was a little overwhelmed and lost....but dang cute!

We ran into the neighbor friend Kylie.

The favorite activity there was a big makeshift slide.  They went down over and over and over...
Ryann finally got into the games.  Her favorite was a tossing game.  She had to throw a rubber scrunchie ball through the hula hoop.  She was really good after a little practice.

And after all the treats they were walking around like zombies!

Only three more parties to go and then the trick-or-treating....
