Pray for a "New Beginning"

(Liam with my niece Ella)

My cousin Liam is scheduled for a stem cell transplant tomorrow, to cure his leukemia.

You may remember late January he was diagnosed with the disease.  After intense chemotherapy he was in remission this spring, but late summer the cancer returned.

He has continued intense chemo and radiation treatments.  I admire Liam's courage during this life battle and all my prayers go out to him!

Keep fighting.  We love you!

Just wanted to post a quick note my Aunt Eileen left on Caring Bridge this morning.  Here you can see Liam's story and track his progress:

"Today is what they call day -1 to Transplant.  Chemo's done, three more radiation treatments and then the placement of "RESCUE" cells tomorrow.  The STEM CELL TRANSPLANT.  It is referred to frequently here as Liam's new Birthday.  He rolls his eyes when I refer to it as that, so we will call it his "NEW BEGINNING".  These next few weeks will be crucial as the new cells settle in and begin their work in the bone marrow.  Asking for continued prayers for minimal side affects to the medications, and a good response to the new cells.

Will keep you posted.

Thank you for your continued prayers.
